Alberto Pirni, reasercher in Ethics and Moral Philosophy at Sant’Anna School Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development), has participated in the International Symposium on Justice, held on 10-14 September 2018 at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis – Brazil.

Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, prominent scholars in ethics, philosophy, and law gathered at the Latin America Humboldt-Kolleg initiative to discuss and argue for the integration of ethics and political morality in “Globalization, Multiculturalism, and Human Rights”. Alberto Pirni, taking part in panels Politics and Justice, gave his lecture on “Timeless Rights: A Perspective for Intergenerational Justice”.

Events of Humboldt associations and worldwide interdisciplinary conferences (Humboldt Kolleg) are annually organized to promote science and research as well as intercultural understanding: the Humboldt network currently comprises more than 29,000 scientists and scholars from all disciplines in over 140 countries.

On September 14, Alberto Pirni takes part in panels Morality, Harm, and Obligation at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - Belo Horizonte, with a speech on “Ethics and Emerging Technologies – The question of Biorobotics and Human Enhancement”.
